SYED SAAD, PH.D., JOINS THE DEVINE GROUP

CINCINNATI, Ohio (February 8, 2006) — The Devine Group is pleased to welcome Syed Saad, Ph.D. as the newly appointed Senior Vice President of Product Development and Client Services. While assuming leadership of a current staff in both functional areas, Dr. Saad also joins Jack E. Smith, Ph.D., Industrial/Organizational Psychologist, of The Devine Group.

With more than ten years of human resources management (HRM) consulting and research experience with Fortune 500 companies, Dr. Saad brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and insight to The Devine Group. His expertise in analytics, leadership and organizational development, and HR technology will enable us to further develop and enhance tools focused on workforce management in both the areas of selection and development.

Dr. Saad most recently served as the Vice President of HR, Advanced Analytics and Research, for Wachovia Corporation in North Carolina, where he designed and developed programs to support corporate and HR strategy implementation in the areas of integrated talent management, organizational development and leadership development. In that role, he also led initiatives on organizational diagnostics, linkage research and performance consulting in the areas of employee engagement and turnover. Further, Dr. Saad conducted audit, development and validation of selection systems to ensure meeting of business objectives and compliance with EEO and Uniform Guidelines. Prior to Wachovia, Dr. Saad served in roles with SHL and Personnel Decisions International (PDI), both global assessment companies, as well as Towers Perrin and the U.S Department of Labor. His previous client list includes such well-known names as 3M, American Airlines, Unilever, United Airlines, DHL, General Electric, Target, and many others.

Dr. Saad graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Economics, and later earned his Ph.D. in Human Resources and Industrial Relations at the renowned Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. Dr. Saad has presented and published in various research and practitioner forums in the area of employee selection, assessment and development. This includes “Testing and Assessment: An Employers’ Guide to Good Practices,” published through the U.S. Department of Labor.
